Adjunct Professor Paul Cusack BSc. BVSc.(hons) MVSt. MACVSc. M. Agribus. PhD.
Consultant ruminant veterinarian and nutritionist, and beef producer with post-graduate training in the intensive and extensive ruminant industries. Post-graduate training covers the disciplines of nutrition, health programmes, reproduction, epidemiology, production management, meat science, agribusiness, and corporate governance. Intern then Resident at University of Queensland Pastoral Veterinary Centre, while completing a Master of Veterinary Studies and teaching Year V BVSc. students 1992/1993.

Guest Lecturer in Feedlot Medicine and Production for Year V BVSc. students at University of Queensland from 1993 to 2002 and at University of Sydney from 1996 to 2007. Guest Lecturer in Feedlot Medicine and Production for the Bachelor of Veterinary Science at Charles Sturt University 2007 on.

Author of numerous research papers published in reviewed journals (Australian Veterinary Journal, Journal of Animal Science, Preventive Veterinary Medicine). Currently principal of Australian Livestock Production Services, and owner/manager of cattle trading enterprise.

Awarded Meat Research Corporation Australasian Junior Research Fellowship 1997. Gained Membership of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists (ruminant nutrition) by examination 1997. Distance Education Tutor with the Centre for Veterinary Education (formerly the PGF) in Ruminant Nutrition since 1999 and Beef Production Medicine from 2013. Member of the National Beef Genetics Extension Review Committee 2001/2002. Australian Lot Feeders Association representative on the Consultative Committee for Emergency Animal Disease Preparedness since 2004. Head Examiner in Beef Cattle Medicine and Production for the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists 2004-2006, 2011 on.

Member of the Bovine Viral Diarrhoea Virus Technical Advisory Group from 2006. Completed PhD on the interaction between nutrition and health in feedlot cattle 2007.
